Role:
As a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead HVAC projects, designing systems for diverse clients. Work with architects, contractors, and our team to deliver quality designs from concept to completion. Benefit from opportunities to mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Design HVAC systems, including equipment sizing, ductwork, and controls, using AutoCAD and Revit. Prepare construction drawings and specifications compliant with California building codes. Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and resolve design issues. Conduct site visits to verify MEP systems and address field challenges. Mentor 1-2 junior designers/drafters, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Manage construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and plan checks.
Qualification:
5+ years of experience in HVAC engineering for residential and commercial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred). Strong knowledge of California building codes and energy standards. Ability to lead cross-disciplinary coordination and manage project timelines. Effective communication skills for client and team interactions (in-person or virtual). Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel for documentation.
