About the OpportunityAn established, design-focused engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Colorado team. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to firm-wide strategy-with a clear path toward leadership and ownership for the right candidate.

The organization specializes in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across multifamily residential and commercial building sectors, with a strong emphasis on client service, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical system design, from concept through construction administrationServe as Engineer of Record on projects, ensuring technical accuracy and code complianceOversee HVAC, plumbing, and building systems design, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and specificationsCollaborate with architects, developers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutionsManage project scope, schedules, and budgets while maintaining high-quality deliverablesProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineersParticipate in client meetings and contribute to business development effortsSupport the continuous improvement of internal standards, processes, and technical practicesQualifications10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the A/E/C industryProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain in Colorado)Demonstrated experience with multifamily and/or commercial building projects (preferred)Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing design, energy codes, and applicable standardsProficiency in industry software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, load calculation and modeling tools)Proven ability to manage projects and work directly with clients-Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsWhat Sets This Role ApartOwnership potential: Opportunity to grow into a leadership or ownership role within the firmHigh level of autonomy and influence on project direction and firm strategyCollaborative and entrepreneurial work environmentDiverse project portfolio with meaningful, community-impacting work
