We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team and ensure the smooth operation of all hotel systems.What You'll Do:
Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance issues. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems. Complete all work orders and tasks thoroughly, documenting work performed and ensuring issues are fully resolved. Maintain accurate records of parts used, time spent, and follow-up needs. Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good condition. Assist with seasonal projects, emergency repairs, and special assignments as needed. Monitor and maintain building systems, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety equipment. Collaborate with other departments to minimize guest disruption during maintenance work. Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and hotel standards. Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. Supervise and train engineering team members, ensuring adherence to hotel and brand standards. Manage departmental budget and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Act as primary contact for emergency situations involving building systems.Requirements:
What We're Looking For:
3-5 years of engineering or maintenance experience in hospitality or a related field. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Leadership experience with ability to manage a team effectively. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Certifications such as EPA, CPO, or similar preferred.Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing ladders. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions. Why Join Us?
