Restaurant Facilities & Refrigeration Service Engineer Colliers Facility Solutions Fort Myers, FL Job Details $70,000 - $95,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Driver's License EPA Universal Certification Van driving Hand tools Full Job Description Your 30/60/90-day journey to mastery Day 1-30: You'll learn Colliers' systems, safety practices, and service standards while shadowing seasoned techs across Chick-fil-A restaurants in your local market. You'll get hands-on with Henny Penny fryers, Traulsen refrigeration, and Lennox HVAC—supported by OEM resources and our responsive technical team. Day 31-60: You'll own routes, close out work orders independently, consult the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team onsite, and communicate with manufacturers for part IDs and advanced diagnostics. Your documentation will be crisp—time, receipts, inventory—every detail accounted for. Day 61-90: You're the go-to expert Operators call first. You juggle SLAs, support occasional after-hours emergencies, and keep a spotless service vehicle. You're enrolled in additional OEM certifications and hitting productivity targets with confidence. Scope of work Diagnose, service, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen and building systems Maintain hot-side equipment, sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice units, and base building HVAC Respond within service level agreements and communicate status clearly to Operators Service notable brands: Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, Garland Grill Install ordered parts to spec and validate performance Complete timely, accurate digital records: work orders, timekeeping, receipts, and truck stock Keep tools and van inventory organized for speed and safety Rotate into on-call coverage for emergency response Practice rigorous safety protocols and accident prevention Engage with suppliers and OEM partners; progress through continuous training and certifications Sustain productivity in line with company benchmarks Qualifications Technical trade education and/or equivalent hands-on experience 5+ years in a related trade Expertise in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment and/or mechanical power transmission Experience in kitchen equipment service, facilities maintenance, or construction systems EPA Universal Certification Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a safe driving record (MVR required) Ability to safely operate company vehicles Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting Ability to interpret diagrams and schematics Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps Professional written and verbal communication Independent, self-motivated, and committed to service excellence Travel & environment 100% travel within a defined local market Limited overnights, primarily for onboarding and training Physical expectations Work extended periods during emergency/priority calls (including overtime) Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided); roof access ladders are provided, and loading/unloading a large ladder from the van is not typical Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, crawling Prolonged standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces Frequent arm, wrist, and hand use with tools and machinery Indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions Technical proficiencies Preventive Maintenance program creation HVAC/R troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair Electrical systems & diagnostics (heavy equipment); schematic reading Equipment installation & wiring; equipment diagnostics & troubleshooting Workplace Safety & EHS Management; Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Refrigeration/cooling systems expertise Machine safety inspections What you'll get Autonomy in the field, strong operational backing, and continuous OEM training—plus competitive compensation and a full benefits package including healthcare, PTO, and 401K.
