Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Overview:
Vinci Engineers is looking for a Plumbing & Fire Protection Designer (or Senior Engineer
  • ) to be involved with design for residential, commercial (office buildings, government facilities, Schools and hospital/healthcare facilities)
Responsibilities:
  • The person in this position will use AutoCAD/Revit software to generate site plans, construction drawings, technical drawings, including plans, sections, and elevations
  • The designer will be involved in all aspects of plumbing design for building types noted above including the layout of sanitary, grease, domestic water and hot water systems, storm, compressed air and gas piping.
  • Designer must have strong communication skills to perform project coordination assignments with other engineers and technicians; review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommend necessary changes; research code issues and communicate with City, State, and County officials. Designer must be detailed and have trouble shooting skills.
  • Interpret and apply codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in design work
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation, including manuals and reports
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn Associate Degree or Technical School Certificate in Plumbing Design, Architectural/Engineering Drafting, or related degree 4-5 years of experience in the drafting/design of plumbing MEP systems Proficiency in Autodesk or REVIT Working knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specifications
