Facility Engineer I Cobb Galleria Centre / Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Atlanta, GA Job Details Full-time $22 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Staff supervision Equipment safety procedures Team supervision Outdoor work Construction painting Carpentry repair tasks In-person customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License 480V electrical equipment handling Conflict management Electrical maintenance Local building codes Event customer service Mechanical knowledge Woodworking Full Job Description Overview The Facility Service Engineer 1 (PM shift) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical services as prescribed and will perform within the Engineering Department guidelines, to include but not limited to: performing preventive maintenance of electrical installations, preventive maintenance of HVAC systems, Preventive Maintenance of Plumbing Systems, exhibitor utility services installation for water, power, etc., utility services supply inventory checks, exhibit hall maintenance, monitoring operation techniques as to safety procedures, complying with equipment distribution requests, review required operation techniques, completing daily routine and/or event assignments as required, and such other functions and duties as required. Core Responsibilities
  • Comply with inventory, operation, purchasing and electrical technique procedures as prescribed by Engineering Management.
  • Complete day-to-day assignments as required.
  • Assist external service vendors and service contractors as required in accordance with guidelines.
  • Monitor and secure the safekeeping of electrical and facility equipment and supplies as required, to include housekeeping of engineering storage areas.
  • Maintain a positive public image of the Engineering Department when performing a service for customers of the venues.
  • Participate in all departmental meetings.
  • Notify Engineering Manager of equipment and facilities requiring repair or replacement.
  • All maintenance of facility as assigned.
  • Position also will require plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC work along with assisting other departments as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Such and all other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements Education/Certifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Trade School Certificate / Degree preferred
  • Valid GA Driver's License Experience
  • 2 years' experience in commercial building maintenance
  • General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical trades
  • 2 years' customer service experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional problem resolution skills to include conflict management
  • Must be able to work irregular work schedule to include evenings, weekends and some overnight shifts.
  • Exposure to 480 volt, 208 volt systems of fluctuating amperage loads with emphasis on servicing electrical installations in the field
  • Ability to successfully perform with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of all applicable safety and building codes.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in the filed of applied electrical service techniques.
  • Ability to demonstrate supervisory skills.

  • Position is primarily indoors but has requirements for outdoor exposure to include roofs, grounds, parking structures.

  • After-hours and weekend work is required on a regular basis.

Pay:
$22.00 per hour
