Job Description

HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer
  • Entry Level | $60,000
  • $75,000 per year, salary What you will be doing: Perform material and labor takeoffs to identify material quantities, labor hours, and cost Conductprovide load calculations Insuring projects meets local building and mechanical codes Designing HVAC systems with other trades Utilizing AutoCAD MEP to generate design documents Working with project managers to oversee construction Collaborate with highly skilled field crews on and off construction sites Work with a experienced Estimator•Estimate Commercial HVAC new construction, renovation, and Design-Build projects ranging from $1 million to $10 million Ray and Son Heating and Air Conditioning | Nashville, GA Locally owned and operated since 1965 We are a full-service commercial mechanical contractor serving Nashville, Valdosta and the surrounding areas with HVAC and plumbing services for residential homeowners and commercial businesses.

What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited 4-year program required; EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is a plus. Strong communication skills with a professional and confident presence. Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP required. Knowledge of electronic takeoff and estimating systems including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, and similar software. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Experience with energy modeling software is a plus.
