Maintenance Engineer ESA Meridian Meridian, ID Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer service Military English Manufacturing facility Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing facility, dedicated to ensuring optimal operational performance and safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and support continuous production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with experience in industrial maintenance environments. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly. Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure equipment accuracy. Maintain and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records for work orders, asset histories, and maintenance schedules. Conduct repairs involving welding (including welding), low voltage electrical systems, high voltage equipment, and hydraulic systems. Use field service techniques to service machinery such as scissor lifts, industrial robots, or other specialized equipment in the manufacturing environment. Collaborate with production teams to optimize maintenance procedures and support manufacturing goals while ensuring safety compliance. Skills Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency in programming logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical circuits and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with welding techniques specific to industrial applications. Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking asset history. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Experience working with low voltage/high voltage electrical systems as an industrial electrician or mechanic. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English. Field service experience supporting manufacturing operations or military background is advantageous for adaptability under diverse conditions.
