Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and knowledgeable HVAC Training Instructor to join our team. In this vital role, you will design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive training programs for aspiring and current HVAC professionals. Your expertise will empower students to excel in HVAC systems, electrical components, mechanical troubleshooting, and related fields such as plumbing and welding. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of skilled trades through engaging instruction and curriculum development. Responsibilities Develop and update training curricula covering HVAC/R systems, electrical wiring, mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics, plumbing, welding, and related trades Deliver dynamic classroom lessons that incorporate hands-on demonstrations and real-world applications Assess student progress through practical exams and written assessments to ensure mastery of technical skills Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols during all instructional activities Incorporate industry-standard tools such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Blackboard learning management system into training modules Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance with current manufacturing, construction, aircraft maintenance, and HVAC/R trends Provide mentorship and support to students pursuing careers in HVAC, electrical work, maintenance, or related fields Experience Proven classroom experience in adult education or technical training environments Strong mechanical knowledge across HVAC systems, electrical experience, automotive diagnostics, plumbing, welding, or maintenance fields Familiarity with OSHA safety standards relevant to manufacturing, construction, aircraft maintenance or HVAC/R work environments Experience developing curricula that include programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Blackboard platforms or similar educational tools Knowledge of industry certifications such as HVAC/R licensing or OSHA safety certifications is preferred Hands-on experience with automotive repair or electrical systems enhances instructional effectiveness Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly to diverse adult learners Join us in inspiring the next generation of skilled trades professionals!
