Job Description:
The position's responsibilities primarily focus on the design of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. This position will require a self-starter who can independently provide technical leadership and create construction drawings, specifications, and existing system studies. Qualified candidates will meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical and plumbing engineering issues and develop effective working relationships. Qualified applicants must be able to work on multiple projects while balancing efforts to deliver documents effectively under fast-paced deadlines and within budgetary constraints. The candidate shall be responsible for the complete design of the following system: Mechanical Systems Heating and Cooling System Design Ventilation and Energy Recovery Design VAV (Variable Air Volume) System Design Boiler and Chiller System Design Hydronic Systems Snow Melting/Heat Trace Systems Natural Gas Piping System Plumbing Systems Commercial Water Supply System Design Waste and Ventilation System Design Hot Water Generation System Natural Gas Piping System Hot Water Reclamation Systems Backflow Prevention Design Grease Trap Waste System Sump Pump/Sewage Ejector/Lift Station Design Booster Pump Design Energy Recovery and Energy Efficiency Building Energy Management and Control Systems Design Energy Efficient Systems Utilizing ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilators) and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)

Design Standard Fire Protection Fire Sprinkler Design ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) Systems Fire Pump Sizing and Riser Design Candidate shall have the following Skills & Qualifications A BS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is mandatory. Five (5) + years of experience. A Professional Engineer License preferred Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of mechanical engineering Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software and select and schedule equipment Must possess strong leadership and communication skills Responsible for the production of construction documents from initial design to bidding Provide construction support, including bid evaluation, submittal reviews, responding to RFI's, final walkthroughs, punch lists, and developing As-Built record drawings Responsible for drawing setup and design documentation Perform coordination with other disciplines on all projects Provide an
Energy Code Compliant Design Thorough Understanding of Current Codes and Standards:
