This includes scheduling, performing, and coordinating all repairs, maintenance and operational readiness.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performance of following process(es): Fillers/Filling (piston pumps, volumetric filling, servo driven systems, A/C frequency drives) Capper and Capper dispensing systems from auto to manual (symmetrical and asymmetrical caps, metal to plastic, multiple sizes) Hot-fill systems (batch kettles, continuous flow pasteurizers, critical-control points (CCP). Glass, PP, PET container accumulation, handling, rinsing, filling, capping, labelling, heat-shrink, press-on, and other variations of container labelling Finished Product Handling System(s): Form-filling, bagging, casing, case handling, case printing, palletizing, etc. 2. Fundamental understanding and performance of the following
Mechanical & Electrical Systems:
Electrical and Power Distribution, AC / DC drives, frequency inverters and drives, troubleshooting, instrumentation, alignments and adjustments as necessary Mechanical understanding and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC system(s) - diagnose problems, fabricate, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary Maintain and diagnosis Boilers (along with necessary preventative maintenance (condensate returns, traps, pumps, etc.) for continued system health and efficiency to support production requirements Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs with the necessary urgency of production equipment and/or perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during as scheduled Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service; read, understand and implement requirements based on wiring diagrams, technical manuals, schematics and blueprints; interpret electrical code application; Installs, repairs and retrofits motor controllers to include all types of AC and DC drives and systems; Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Maintain, manage and document Preventive Maintenance Program; Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas;
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have: 2+ Years experience in a mechanical position within a manufacturing environment. Candidate must thrive in a rapid changing environment and be able to make independent decisions. Fundamental understanding of Plant Operations for continuous manufacturing. Candidate must be able to perform and/or direct resources (internal and external) for the continued preventative maintenance for a 60,000 sqft facility and all related equipment (production & infrastructure). Candidate must understand capital investment, concept to design through execution for the continued growth and capabilities of the facility. Must be fluent with maintenance systems for work order system, parts inventory, parts management, PM's, OEM manuals. Overall responsible for the establishment and execution of a well ran Maintenance department. Successful candidate must work with within the leadership team of Spicin Foods. Must be able to communicate priorities, urgency and other relatable requirements under his/her responsibilities such that the plant and production needs are met and supported.
Physical requirements:
the ability to speak, read and write English language; ability to stand, bend, craw, squat, kneel, climb and lift up to 75 lbs.; able to work in confined spaces; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
