HVAC Electrical Engineer

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a HVAC Chemical Engineer to support commercial HVAC product lines by designing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems used in HVAC equipment. Day‑to‑day work includes creating unit‑specific wiring diagrams, performing electrical calculations like FLA and MOP, and providing technical support to sales, customers, production, and engineering teams. The engineer will troubleshoot electrical issues, assist with testing and validation during production and development, and support prototype builds by wiring and testing panels and components. Additional responsibilities include managing engineering change requests, maintaining ERP and production documentation, writing work instructions, and collaborating cross‑functionally with manufacturing, process engineering, customer service, and leadership. Staying current on industry codes and standards is also a key part of the role. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Controls Engineering
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings
• Experience working with electrical systems ranging from 24V AC/DC up to 575V
• Hands‑on experience using electrical test equipment (meters, gauges, hand tools)
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, LOTO procedures, and industrial best practices
• Experience with commercial HVAC electrical controls or equipment
• Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or higher
• Working knowledge of

NEC, NFPA 70, UL 1995, UL

60335, and related standards

• Experience with AutoCAD (including automation), Excel VBA, or Python
• Prior support of manufacturing or production environments
