In this highimpact role, you'll drive equipment reliability, minimize idle time, and prevent costly dock rejections by owning the inspection, evaluation, and maintenance oversight of all barges in your assigned region. You'll schedule, coordinate, and supervise repairs, partnering closely with shipyards and internal teams to ensure fast, highquality turnarounds. Your IMPACT Schedule, coordinate, and oversee barge repairs for the assigned area. Ensure safe working conditions at maintenance facilities and ACBL Team Members/Vendors follow all company, industry, and safety guidelines while operating company equipment. Perform and coordinate barge reliability inspections to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation for our Dry Hopper barge fleet. Monitor maintenance and repair work to ensure safety, barge reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost/benefit requirements are met. Serve as emergency point of contact for both scheduled On-Call and On-Demand needs. Performs all other duties as assigned. What we are looking for...
You will need to have:
High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver's License. Ability to obtain a valid TWIC. Knowledge of barging, tank operations, and transfer operations and the river system. Knowledge of
USCG, OSHA, MSDS
regulations.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Maritime Operations, or a related field 3-5 years of previous barge/heavy equipment maintenance and operational competence in a marine transportation or shipyard environment.
