Utilities Project Engineer (HVAC SME)
Location:
On-site, Andover, MA Work directly with a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer. Own the technical delivery of major capital projects. We're supporting a high-profile manufacturing site delivering multiple large-scale capex programs, and we're looking for a Utilities Project Engineer with strong HVAC expertise to join the team. This is a hands-on SME role , where you'll act as the technical authority for HVAC and utilities across several concurrent projects in a live manufacturing environment. HVAC SME
within the project team , supporting delivery across multiple capital projects.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and approving designs, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation Supporting construction, installation, and commissioning Conducting system walkdowns to ensure installation aligns with design intent Providing input into commissioning and system readiness Acting as a technical advisor to Project Managers Supporting work in a live manufacturing environment , including shutdown coordination About the Organisation You'll be employed by a well-established, employee-owned engineering and project delivery firm with a strong reputation across industrial and life sciences sectors. What we're looking for Strong HVAC expertise (SME level) Experience supporting capital projects (design and/or construction) Comfortable with submittals, RFIs, specs, and drawing reviews Exposure to commissioning and system handover Broader utilities knowledge (plumbing, waste systems etc.) is beneficial Backgrounds considered: Owner-side engineering / utilities teams Engineering or design firms (EPC / A&E) Life sciences experience is beneficial, but not essential.
