We are known for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions and building long-term client relationships across New England. Position Overview Medford Wellington is seeking a highly motivated Service Sales Engineer to join our growing Construction & Specialty Trades division. This is a consultative, client-facing sales role focused on HVAC/R system replacement, service agreements, and project-based solutions. You will spend approximately 60% of your time in the field , meeting with customers, performing site walkthroughs, and developing new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate, profitable cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors Evaluate existing HVAC/R systems and recommend replacement or upgrade solutions Sell maintenance agreements and cross-sell additional company services Develop and maintain relationships with Facility Managers, Building Owners, and decision-makers Generate new business through consultative sales and outbound efforts Manage inbound leads and respond in a timely manner Conduct site walkthroughs and client meetings to assess needs and present solutions Collaborate with technicians, subcontractors, and Project Managers to ensure scope accuracy Prepare detailed job scopes aligned with company safety and profitability standards Coordinate with municipalities for permits and engineering requirements Support successful project execution by ensuring alignment between sales scope and field delivery Qualifications Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, Split Systems, VAV, Ductless, etc.) Proven experience in consultative sales and closing new business Ability to develop long-term client relationships Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot or similar preferred) Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team License & Certification Requirements Trade License (one or more preferred) EPA Certification OSHA 10 Valid Driver's License Top Three Keys to Success Strong HVAC Technical Knowledge Proven Consultative Sales Experience Ability to Develop & Close New Business Why Join Medford Wellington?
