This position performs the following duties: Plans and schedules work in a manner th promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Plans work to be accomplished by subordines, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules. Responsible for the acquisition, construction, maintenance, repair, and opering of real property facilities, and provides reled management, engineering, and other support work. Specifically, this includes (a) acquisition, accountability, and disposal of real este; (b) planning and programming of total requirements for the maintenance, repair, and construction of facilities including financial management of facility programs; (c) provision of basic utility services; (d) maintenance and repair of structures and associed equipment; (e) furnishing snow removal, pest control, fire prevention, and engineering services activities. Directs total operions through subordine civilian supervisory and non-supervisory personnel. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportion as approprie to perform temporary duty assignments. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparion for, or in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: To be considered, applicants must have current registrion as a professional engineer by any Ste, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Applicants must have successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) examinion, or the written test required for professional registrion, which is administered by the Boards of Engineering Examiners in the various Stes, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must have 1-year equivalent to least next lower grade level experience, educion, or training in preparing technical and engineering drawings. Experience searching out and developing new or grely modified methods and approaches to accomplish the Civil Engineering function. Experience in coordining and negotiing with contractors and other personnel regarding engineering and administrive mters. Experience supervising and leading others within the Engineering Occupional Series. A combinion of educion and experience may be credited to qualify applicants for the position. • college-level educion, training, and/or technical experience th furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mhemical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applicions to one of the branches of engineering.

The adequacy of such background must be demonstred by one of the following: Professional registrion or licensure

• Current registrion as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT)1, or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any Ste, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
