Job Description

Blue Cliff College is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Program Lead Instructor to help develop, launch, and lead a new HVAC training program . This is a hands‑on leadership role for an industry professional who is passionate about workforce development, student success, and building a high‑quality program aligned with current HVAC industry standards. The Program Lead Instructor will play a key role in curriculum development, lab setup, instructor mentoring, and classroom instruction while collaborating with administration and industry partners to ensure the program's long‑term success. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of a new HVAC training program Teach HVAC courses using effective instructional and hands‑on lab methods Develop, review, and update curriculum to align with industry certifications and employer needs Assist with program startup activities, including lab layout, equipment recommendations, and safety procedures Mentor and support adjunct or full‑time HVAC instructors as the program grows Ensure course objectives, learning outcomes, and assessments meet accreditation and regulatory standards Support student retention, engagement, and career readiness Participate in advisory committee meetings and maintain strong industry partnerships Assist with program evaluation, continuous improvement, and accreditation preparation
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC industry experience (residential and/or commercial) EPA Section 608 Certification Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, installation, and safety practices Excellent communication and leadership skills Commitment to student success and professional integrity
Preferred:
