Facilities Engineer Location:
Bakken Airport XWA Hotel, Williston, ND Department:
Maintenance / Engineering Position Summary The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical property, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This role supports daily operations by performing preventive maintenance and responding to maintenance requests efficiently. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guest rooms and public areas Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner Ensure all equipment is functioning properly Preventive Maintenance Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks Identify and report potential issues before they become major problems Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed Grounds & Facility Upkeep Maintain cleanliness and appearance of exterior areas Assist with minor landscaping, snow removal, or general upkeep as needed Ensure common areas are well-maintained and presentable Coordination & Support Work closely with front desk and housekeeping to address guest needs Communicate maintenance updates to management Assist with vendor coordination when required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior maintenance or engineering experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call if needed Reliable and dependable
