Traveling MEP Manager - MSG - Biotech/Pharma Equiliem medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) United States, Jersey, East Brunswick 25 Kennedy Boulevard (Show on map) May 29, 2026 Job Summary This position is responsible for overseeing and directing preconstruction, engineering, and field installation activities for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on assigned projects. The role provides leadership across procurement, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and project close-out activities while ensuring alignment with client objectives and project goals. Candidates may be based anywhere in the United States and must have prior experience supporting biotech or pharmaceutical construction projects. Locations include Raleigh, Birmingham, Indianapolis, Denver, San Francisco, and Seattle. Job Responsibilities Oversee preconstruction, engineering, and installation activities for MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, and fire protection systems Develop and maintain strong working relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and client representatives Interpret and ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, drawings, and applicable building codes Lead, supervise, mentor, and support MEP team members, including performance management responsibilities Manage the daily activities of MEP engineers, superintendents, and project support staff Oversee procurement, budgeting, engineering coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, quality control, safety, and project close-out activities Identify cost-driving design features and recommend alternative solutions that maintain or improve project functionality and performance Present technical information clearly and effectively to stakeholders, clients, and project teams Implement innovative technologies, construction methods, and industry best practices to improve project outcomes Coordinate closely with project leadership to support successful project execution and delivery Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, and fire protection systems Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple phases of complex construction projects simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with project management, scheduling, and construction coordination software Ability to review and analyze complex technical documents and provide actionable recommendations Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment Ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate active construction sites, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to work in environments with moderate noise, moving mechanical equipment, and occasional exposure to airborne particles or chemicals Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Work Experience Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in design, cost management, sequencing, logistics, and field installation of MEP systems Prior experience supporting biotech or pharmaceutical construction projects is required LEED accreditation preferred Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) plan About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
