Our Studio Services Department ensures that complex audio/video networks, routers, consoles, and IP broadcast systems run seamlessly for clients in the Greater New York City area . Job Summary:
We are seeking a Broadcast Studio Maintenance Engineer to join our Studio Services team . This full-time position is based in Norwood, NJ , with daily travel to broadcast studios and production facilities throughout New York City, Northern NJ, and surrounding areas . The ideal candidate is a hands-on broadcast engineer or technician with strong IT networking skills , a passion for technology, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain professional broadcast systems. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in both traditional baseband and IP-based SMPTE 2110
systems , working with top-tier production technology. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and service broadcast studios and production control rooms across the Greater NYC area Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair video routers, audio consoles, comms systems, switchers, and peripheral equipment Perform on-site visits for preventive maintenance, testing, and system upgrades Support new studio buildouts, equipment installations, and signal path configurations Collaborate with broadcast operations, IT, and engineering teams to ensure uptime and reliability Maintain documentation of system layouts, maintenance logs, and issue tracking Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with professional broadcast equipment including: Evertz, Ross, Calrec, Clear-Com, Riedel, Sony, Shure, Ikegami systems Strong understanding of IP networking , routing, and configuration Working knowledge of SMPTE 2110 , NDI
, or other IP video transport standards (preferred) Familiarity with broadcast automation, intercom systems, and video/audio infrastructure Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Eagerness to learn new technologies , receive manufacturer training, and advance within the company Qualifications:
2+ years of professional experience in broadcast engineering , studio maintenance , or technical operations Associate or bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics, IT Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience) Valid driver's license and daily travel availability Must be based in or willing to commute to the Greater NYC / Northern NJ region Compensation & Benefits:
