Job Description

Catalyx is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Facilities Engineer to support facility infrastructure, utilities, and engineering operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable facility performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The Facilities Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support maintenance activities, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and engineering projects Key Responsibilities Oversee facility infrastructure and utility systems to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime and repairs Support and coordinate engineering projects related to facility systems and maintenance impact areas Lead facility equipment installation and improvement projects Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation, and Gantt charts Participate in root cause investigations related to equipment or utility failures and analyze performance data Verify and develop P&IDs, engineering layouts, drawings, and technical documents Assist Validation Engineers with qualification activities for facilities and utility systems Participate in the development of training materials for facility maintenance programs Support optimization efforts focused on maintenance program cost, compliance, and effectiveness Ensure facility operations and documentation comply with cGMP standards and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Collaborate with maintenance, validation, manufacturing, and quality teams to support operational goals Requirements Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Required Less than one year in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry Reads and understands P&ID, engineering layouts, drawings, and documents
  • Intermediate Proficient in MS Office
  • Intermediate Must be detail-oriented with good communication and time management skills
