Job Description

The Reeds at Shelter Haven is a full service, boutique hotel with 58 luxurious guestrooms and suites. This resort is located in the heart of Stone Harbor, New Jersey, a wealthy residential community and beach destination. Entering its Fifth season, The Reeds offers three world class restaurants and a robust banquet department. The hotel will host over 70+ weddings per year and considered the premier destination resort. The Overnight Maintenance Engineer assists the Chief Engineer with the upkeep of all hotel fixtures, materials, and mechanical devices. They perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance as well as ad hoc repairs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Comply with all laws, regulations, and building codes as they pertain to construction. Comply with all company safety standards and procedures as they are described by the Safety and Compliance Manager. Perform regular preventive maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer. Perform ad hoc repairs as directed by the Chief Engineer. If maintenance or repairs are outside the Maintenance Engineer?s skill level, they are to work with the Chief Engineer to schedule an outside contractor as soon as possible without interfering with the guest experience. Periodically check the hotel?s fixtures, materials, and mechanical devices to ensure working order and to address any issues that may be discovered. Maintain all maintenance workshops and storage areas in a clean, tidy, and organized manner Maintain proper radio conduct and etiquette at all times. Other duties as assigned.
