How you'll contribute A Maintenance Engineer who excels in this role: Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility. Installs, tests, maintains, operates and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed. Performs major and minor maintenance work. Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons. Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems. Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned. Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage. Assembles and relocates furniture. Performs other job duties as assigned. What we're looking for
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Required.Licenses:
New Mexico State Driver's License Minimum Work Experience:
Two years' institutional/commercial maintenance experience required Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems requiredSkills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.Schedule :
