ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Chief Engineer, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a large commercial facility, ensuring all maintenance, repair, and facility services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the client Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians Oversee all facility operations, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems Utilize CMMS systems to schedule and manage maintenance activities and track performance Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality service and contract compliance Conduct routine inspections of buildings, systems, and equipment to identify and resolve issues Perform hands-on troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures Manage budgets, reporting, and operational documentation Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies Support hiring, training, and performance management of facility staff Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every 6 weeks)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred 5+ years of experience managing maintenance teams in a commercial facility environment Strong knowledge of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance) Experience with CMMS systems and facility operations management OSHA-10 certification required Experience managing subcontractors and multi-building operations is a plus Hands-on experience with tools and basic facility repairs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
