Description:
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. We are seeking a talented and motivated Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing capital projects and provide engineering support at a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility situated in Bedford, Ohio. As a Project Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to oversee all project aspects from conception to completion. Activities such as scope development, budgeting, design, procurement, scheduling, construction management, installation, and commissioning will be under your direction. In addition, as you become familiar with the site, you will provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize systems and equipment. In this role, you will focus on projects and engineering support relating to site WFI systems, Chiller systems, Compounding process equipment, Aseptic Fill and finish equipment, heat exchangers, control valves and process piping
Key Responsibilities:
Building systems and utilities such as site electrical infrastructure, compressed air, plant steam, chilled water, and condenser/tower water. Critical utilities such as WFI, clean steam, High Purity Air, Nitrogen, and CO2. Cleanroom equipment fillers, isolators, compounding process equipment, Aseptic IV bag and Vial filling equipment, BMS monitoring and alarming systems. A wide variety of facilities/production projects such as cleanroom construction, facility upgrades, stability chambers, warehouse upgrades, office area renovations, etc.

Minimum:
B.S. Degree in Engineering Five (5) years of project engineering or maintenance engineering experience Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision by drawing on relevant engineering concepts, principles and technical experience. Planning skills to provide technical support to large capital projects. Demonstrate Project Management Skills
  • Leading multiple (1-2) Capital and Expense projects in the magnitude of 0 to 2 million dollars to include actively tracking schedule, cost and deliverables. Demonstrate Problem Solving skills
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Critical Thinking skills
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Active Listening skills
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Time Management skills
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others. Written Communicating skills
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience as well as preparing technical documentation for the FDA, OSHA, and other regulation agency requirements. Interpersonal Skills
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively Production and processing experience
  • Knowledge of material flow, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product.
Presentation Skills to effectively educate technicians on the technical equipment principles One year validation experience in qualifying equipment to match production equipment and process specifications.
Demonstrated proficient Computer Skills including:
AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Microsoft Project, SAP, and machine specific programs Working knowledge of cGMPs as they relate to sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, critical utilities, and production equipment with respect to their design, installation, and operation. Experience with
CIP/SIP/CRF 21
part 11 Experience with Siemens Apogee or Desigo is a plus. Professional Engineering license or PMP Certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineering Licence with HVAC emphasis. Five to fifteen years of project engineering or maintenance engineering experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Compensation:
: $59,900 to $120,450 annually. The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
