Chester, Pennsylvania, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Chester, Pennsylvania. Overview The maintenance engineer will be responsible for analyzing equipment failures, providing technical support, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing maintenance programs to improve plant reliability and safety. Responsibilities Perform failure and root cause analysis and make technical recommendations for repairs and replacements considering economics and plant availability risks
Provide daily technical support for equipment and process problems
Initiate, plan, and implement long-term corrective actions to improve process and plant reliability
Ensure regulatory compliance for preventative maintenance of plant equipment and maintenance processes
Ensure adherence to the relevant maintenance documents and programs
Maintain the mechanical integrity program for all related devices and equipment including in SAP
Maintain records on safety devices, including inspection, testing, and calculation methods
Support Management of Change process and documentation records
Ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA requirements for maintenance contractors performing activities in the plant
Support the contractor safety program
Plan and participate in the budgeting process for maintenance and prepare outage schedules and shutdown work lists
Support daily scheduling activities with the maintenance team on plant equipment reliability issues
Maintain management systems including SAP, spare parts, mechanical integrity, and maintenance quality management
Ensure maintenance processes adhere to technical documents
Scope and execute capital projects to support plant goals and initiatives
Provide plant-specific technical expertise on equipment innovations and maintenance techniques Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering
Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards (OSHA)
