Energy Engineer

Energy Engineer Washington, DC Hybrid work Contract Contract Meridian Consulting, LLC is a sustainable design and energy engineering consulting firm seeking an energy engineer to support our energy consulting services for new construction projects. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the commercial building design and construction process. This position will be located in Meridian Consulting's office in Silver Spring, MD with some remote work. Candidates must be located in the DC metropolitan region and be able to visit job sites in the DC area as needed (likely 1-2 times per week on average).

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience Technical knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and commercial building design Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic, sense of personal responsibility and commitment to delivering high quality work Additional desired skills and experience: HVAC commissioning Energy audits PE, CEM, CxA or LEED AP To apply for this position, please submit a resume.
