If you are a Mechanical Engineer who actively designs systems, runs calculations, and owns deliverables—and you're looking to stay deeply technical rather than move into coordination or management-only roles—this is a strong fit. You'll support mission-critical federal and defense projects where HVAC and plumbing systems demand a higher level of rigor, redundancy, and performance than typical commercial buildings. Responsibilities You'll serve as a hands-on mechanical contributor under senior guidance while owning meaningful scope: Design HVAC and plumbing systems for complex facilities Perform mechanical calculations independently, including: Load calculations Equipment sizing Pump calculations Produce and contribute directly to Revit-based design documentation Apply sound engineering judgment when validating system results Support multiple concurrent projects within a fast-moving, technical team Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and structural disciplines Participate in occasional local site visits for field verification
