with Match Ample Growth Opportunities Paid Holidays Mechanical Consultant II Location Charleston / Greenville Essential Job Functions Works on mechanical design with little direction or input from supervisor/ mentor from start to finish and through Construction Administration on a project of average complexity. Understands code requirements and properly applies them to the project. Seeks feedback/ validation on design decisions. Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply designs of increasing complexity. Perform individual aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following: HVAC
  • Split system/Package Heat Pumps, Chilled Water/Hot Water Hydronics, Steam/Condensate, Constant volume and variable volume air distribution systems. Plumbing
  • Medical gas systems, Hot and cold water/waste and vent systems, Compressed air systems. Fire protection
  • Performance drawings and specification for wet pipe and dry pipe systems.
Understands and implements cross-discipline coordination both internal and external to DWG. Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work. Seeking the mechanical construction of the project through completion; FI's owner/ architect/ contractor meeting attendance, submittals, construction observation site visits and reports. Performing appropriate field work to determine a design direction and develop record drawings. Education BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering 2+ years experience Machine/Equipment/Computer Requirements Knowledge of Microsoft Office Revit HVAC Load Analysis Program (HAP or TRACE)
