Industrial HVAC Engineering & Design, Field WorkWho's Hiring:
An engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in industrial HVAC design. This role supports projects in chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial environments. Work includes HVAC system design, process ventilation, and hazardous area pressurization. This position is hybrid and requires onsite presence at least 3 days per week. Remote candidates cannot be considered.
Responsibilities:
Design HVAC systems for industrial and chemical facilitiesPerform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment selectionDesign process ventilation and hazardous location pressurization systemsDevelop HVAC layouts, specifications, and cost estimatesEvaluate existing systems and recommend improvementsCoordinate with other engineering disciplines and clientsPerform field work including site visits and drawing verification
Qualifications:
5+ years of HVAC engineering and design experienceIndustrial HVAC experience requiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldEIT certification required; PE preferredKnowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA standardsProficient in AutoCAD; Revit or Navisworks a plusDust collection, plumbing, or fire protection experience is a plus
