Refrigeration Engineer

FULLY REMOTE SR. REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

Overview We are seeking an experienced Sr. Refrigeration Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial and supermarket refrigeration projects. This role will focus on refrigeration system design, Revit-based drafting, client coordination, and technical leadership on small to mid-sized projects or portions of large, complex programs. Key Responsibilities Design and draft commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems, including isometric drawings for small to medium-sized projects Lead small project teams or portions of large projects, applying deep knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, and applicable national standards Collaborate with Engineers and Design Leads to communicate with clients, deliver complete construction documents, and support construction administration efforts Perform quality control reviews on assigned projects and peer work prior to Engineer of Record review Apply energy codes to refrigeration system design with minimal oversight and understand their impact on overall building design Utilize Revit for system layout, coordination, and documentation Support project delivery through technical problem-solving and design optimization Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience in refrigeration system design and drafting Proven experience supporting supermarket refrigeration projects Strong working knowledge of DX refrigeration systems using traditional refrigerants Basic knowledge of transcritical CO₂ refrigeration systems Familiarity with standard control systems used in commercial refrigeration Proficiency in Revit (required) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Preferred Qualifications EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred OR 10+ years of experience with willingness to pursue licensure Experience using Heatcraft Box Load Calculator and Sporlan Virtual Engineer Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical engineering principles Technical Skills Revit Refrigeration System Design Mechanical Engineering HVAC Design & Drafting Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00
