Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) with 5+ years of experience to lead the design and execution of mechanical and plumbing systems for diverse building projects. This role is ideal for a driven professional ready to: Take ownership of projects from concept through construction Lead multidisciplinary coordination efforts Mentor junior engineers Contribute to business development Grow into a Team Lead or Department Head Key Responsibilities Lead the design, analysis, and documentation of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building types Manage projects through all phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, architects, and internal teams Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure seamless project integration Oversee and mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical development and accountability Provide quality control reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards Support business development efforts , including proposal contributions and client relationship management Identify opportunities to improve processes, design strategies, and departmental growth Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering 6+ years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred (or in progress) Proven experience leading HVAC system design and coordinating plumbing systems Demonstrated success managing projects and interacting directly with clients Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and industry standards Experience with sustainable design practices (e.g., LEED) is a plus Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For A technical leader who can take initiative and drive projects forward A mentor who is passionate about developing junior staff A problem-solver who thrives on complex engineering challenges A future leader motivated to grow into a management or departmental leadership role Why Join Us Opportunity to work on high-impact, technically challenging projects Clear path toward leadership and career advancement Collaborative and innovative engineering environment Exposure to cutting-edge design and sustainable solutions Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles ADVISOR
