Project Engineer (BAS / HVAC Controls Systems)

Full-timeOverviewOur client is seeking a BAS Project Engineer to support the delivery of building automation and HVAC projects. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Support & CoordinationAssist Project Managers with the delivery of construction and service-based projectsCoordinate with engineering and controls teams to ensure alignment with project requirementsReview system designs, programming, and user interfaces, providing feedback where requiredIdentify and communicate system deficiencies and support resolutionProject Planning & DeliverySupport project kick-off meetings with internal teamsWork closely with field teams to ensure design intent is successfully implementedConduct site visits and assessments to ensure quality and complianceCollaborate with subcontractors and technical staff to maintain high standards of installationCommunication & DocumentationAttend project meetings and support communication across stakeholdersCoordinate with multiple trades to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetProvide regular progress updates to internal stakeholdersParticipate in Health & Safety activities and ensure adherence to standardsContinuous Improvement & Team ContributionIdentify training and development opportunities within the teamPromote efficient working practices and process improvementsMaintain a proactive, adaptable approach to workload and prioritiesBuild strong working relationships with both internal teams and external clientsCandidate RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering Technology orAssociate degree / technical certification orMinimum of 10 years' experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)Background in electronics, mechanical systems, or programming preferredValid driver's license requiredTechnical Skills & KnowledgeStrong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and designExperience with Tridium (N4 or AX certification preferred)Familiarity with Distech ControlsExperience programming controllers within at least one major OEM platformAbility to review system designs and operate independentlyCore CompetenciesStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesDetail-oriented and results-drivenTeam-focused with a customer-centric mindset
