About the Role As a Residential HVAC Systems Designer, you will be instrumental in engineering high-performance climate control solutions for new residential construction. By leveraging advanced modeling software, you will ensure that every home achieves optimal thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Create detailed HVAC system layouts and schematics using Right Suite Universal to maximize home performance. Execute precise heating and cooling load calculations to ensure equipment is perfectly matched to the property's unique environmental needs. Select and size HVAC equipment in strict alignment with ACCA Manual S guidelines to guarantee long-term system reliability. Optimize ductwork designs to meet rigorous testing standards and improve overall airflow efficiency. Validate that all system designs adhere to current national and local building codes, ensuring safety and project approval. Apply deep knowledge of construction materials and field installation practices to bridge the gap between design and real-world application. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in residential HVAC design and system engineering. Proficiency in Right Suite Universal for load calculations and system sizing. Strong working knowledge of ACCA Manual S and related industry standards. Ability to interpret architectural plans and apply building code requirements. Preferred Skills Technical expertise in AutoCAD for drafting and design documentation. Experience with energy modeling or sustainable building practices. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on precision and detail-oriented problem solving.
