This position is responsible for supporting BIM coordination, plumbing drafting, CAD management, project scheduling assistance, and field coordination throughout various stages of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Project Managers, field personnel, contractors, and design teams to help ensure plumbing systems are accurately modeled, coordinated, and prepared for successful installation. Responsibilities Support coordination efforts with Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Contractors on active plumbing projects Develop and maintain BIM and CAD workflows for ongoing commercial construction projects Create and update 2D plumbing layouts, penetration drawings, and rough-in plans Produce detailed 3D BIM models for plumbing and piping systems Participate in coordination meetings with other trades to identify and resolve system clashes Generate shop drawings, sleeve layouts, and project construction documentation Revise drawings and BIM models based on field conditions, RFIs, and project updates Assist with as-built documentation and final project drawing revisions Support estimating and preconstruction teams with material take-offs and model-based quantity reviews Coordinate plumbing elevations and routing with other subcontractors to support efficient installation Maintain organized BIM files, CAD standards, and project documentation Provide technical and drafting support for office and field teams as needed Required Skills Experience with BIM coordination and plumbing CAD drafting Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM software platforms Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction coordination processes Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents Experience with clash detection and trade coordination Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience preparing RFIs, shop drawings, and as-built documentation Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively with office staff, field teams, and contractors Valid driver's license preferred Must be authorized to work in the United States Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Technical certification or degree in CAD, BIM, Construction Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in BIM coordination, CAD drafting, plumbing design support, or construction coordination preferred Previous experience in commercial plumbing construction strongly preferred Benefits 401K with company match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Recognition programs and performance bonuses Continuing education and professional development opportunities At Colleague, we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
