Position Summary The Operation Engineer II is an intermediate level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system. Responsibilities Responsibilities You will perform general maintenance service calls and work orders as assigned. Examples of building maintenance our team conducts are repair & replacement of electrical & plumbing fixtures; mounting TVs, pictures, & white boards; patching & painting walls and ceilings; repair door hardware, closers, locks & keys; assist with furniture moves as required. You will perform daily rounds and routine inspections of essential hospital facility equipment which may include machine rooms and roof areas. You will conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the hospital's infrastructure while maintaining all regulatory compliance. You will perform troubleshooting, and both major and minor repairs on facility equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, local, state & federal safety codes, and MultiCare Health System (MHS) Policies and Procedures. You will ensure the safe and efficient operations of the gas and electric boilers, HVAC, air compressors, pumps, emergency generators, and other auxiliary equipment. This position has a required on-call rotation. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent preferred May require a City of Tacoma Engineer License II (or obtain license within 90 days of hire) depending on location Accomplished in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenance Minimum four (4) years of experience directly related to operations and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems Computer and EMCS experience preferred Valid Washington State driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state About Capital Medical Center MultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities.
