Job Description Summary Description:
The RathGibson Janesville Facilities Engineer plays a crucial role in the management of building systems and infrastructure. This position focuses on providing solutions for a variety of manufacturing challenges and implementing improvements that enhance functionality and sustainability.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fire Suppression:
Quarterly/Semi-Annual/Annual Fire Audits, Deficiency correction Fire Extinguisher Management Plan/Inspection Fire Main Inspection (Weekly) and maintaining Fire Alarm Call List/Log Backup Generator Preventive Maintenance Compressor Preventive Maintenance Cross Connection Surveys (Backflow Preventors) Document Retention Monitor State Website for contractor document submission. City Wastewater Daily pH Monitoring. pH Testing Certification and pH Benchsheet Retention Daily Flow Monitoring Effluent Flow Meter Calibration (Annual) Internal Nickel Testing Monthly Wastewater Sampling Internal System Parameter Documentation. Semi Annual Pretreatment Compliance Annual Industrial Pretreatment Facility Inspection (Onsite) City Wastewater Corrective Action Emergency Exit Lights Excess Dunnage (275g IBCs and 55 Drums) Recycling Parking Lot Pavement and Painting Building maintenance: gutters, doors, ceiling and roof repairs. Insurance Audits and Deficiency Actions Site Security Snowplow and Lawncare Contracts Spill ResponseSWPP/SWERP
Training; Spill Containment Bin Inventories Plumbing/Electrical/Compressor/Air Line/Switchboard Ownership. Pressure Vessel inspection. Maintain Water sampler units and thermometer calibration. Manage Janitorial Services and Contracts. Oil Room Management (Vertical Tank fillings, Secondary Containment pump-outs, open barrels on containment). Monthly oil reservoir audits. Arc Flash Hydrogen Monitors in both buildings Proactively support night and weekend shift issues if needed. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education and/orExperience Required:
BS or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, Minimum 2+ years of related work experience Minimum 3 years of project management experience Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication. Must be Proficient in MS Office (Excel) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of furnaces, pressure vessels, and other related foundry equipment.
