HVAC Design Engineer Requirements:
2-5 years of HVAC design experience required BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field required Current PE certification or a desire to obtain PE certification required Strong understanding of HVAC systems, load calculations, and applicable mechanical codes required Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit required Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical construction practices preferred Experience with commercial, K-12, municipal, or hospitality, and multifamily projects preferred Experience with public-sector and prevailing wage projects preferred PMP, LEED, or similar certifications preferred Familiarity with Wisconsin codes is a plus

HVAC Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, internal engineering staff, field teams, and clients to develop practical, efficient, and code-compliant HVAC system designs. Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layouts Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications Perform energy calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards Support design-build and plan-spec projects from concept through construction Review submittals and assist with RFI responses Assist in developing internal engineering standards and best practices, and Train junior engineers and/or interns Please be on the lookout for a (774) area code calling you.
