Plumbing Designer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Design & Engineering:

Create comprehensive plumbing schematics, isometric riser diagrams, and drainage designs for routine and complex projects.

Project Documentation:

Obtain electronic plans from architects/engineers; prepare record drawings and O&M manuals in accordance with project requirements.

Code Compliance:

Review scopes and product specifications to ensure all designs meet local codes and industry standards.

Collaboration:

Participate in design reviews and project turnover meetings with Sales and Project Management teams.

Field Support:

Conduct initial site surveys and walkthroughs; provide design assistance to construction teams throughout construction.

Permitting & Coordination:

Obtain project design info from General Contractors; facilitate and track all necessary project plan reviews and permits. Technical Proficiency Requirements High proficiency in the following tools is essential for this role:

Design:

AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.

Productivity:

Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive/Workspace applications.

Qualifications Education:

Associate degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in plumbing or construction design.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills for frequent coordination with vendors, customers, and consultants.

Mindset:

Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously with high attention to detail.

Physical Requirements & Environment Office Setting:

Primary work is performed in a professional, climate-controlled office.

Field Work:

Ability to conduct site walkthroughs, which includes climbing ladders and navigating construction environments .

Lifting:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., large-format drawing sets). Mattox Plumbing, LLC is an at-will employer. This job description is subject to change, and duties may be added or assigned at any time.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
