GED Full Job Description Overview:
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
(F3016 2026-25520): Bowhead seeks an Engineering Technician to support the Marine Corps Systems Command and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) divisions at Camp Pendleton, CA. This position may require travel to Crane, IN for training and business purposes. The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing on-site maintenance and on-equipment proficiency training to unit personnel. The Engineering Technicians are assigned to teams that identify, source and track replacement components for their respective locations.
Responsibilities:
Essential functions will include: Conducting functional testing and returning articles to service Documenting maintenance and inspection actions Reviewing technical documentation to identify planned maintenance action requirements Reviewing and implementing service advisory/service bulletins Will be called upon to serve as the SME Trainer for UTV training course(s) and will be required to evaluate operators and equipment Providing analysis and recommendations for changes and improvements to equipment installation, operation, modification, maintenance, training and failure mode analysis for equipment. Other duties as assigned This position may also require both
CONUS/OCONUS
travel which may include sea duty of up to 6 months supporting a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum Candidates with any Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), American Welding Society (AWS) and/or military coating application (MIL-DTL-53072) certificates are highly sought Prior experience with JLTV operation and training and/or the Marine Corp Systems Command is desired Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. #LI-KM1
