//www.conifer.io/ Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineering Technician located in Sunnyvale. The Technician will be responsible for building axial flux electric motor and inverter sub components, final product assembly, soldering components, troubleshooting technical issues, and calibrating test equipment. Daily tasks will also include running test routines on dynamometer, analyzing and reporting results.
Responsibilities:
Assemble e-motors, with focus on stator assembly Assemble rotors, gearboxes and complete drive unit Mount drive unit onto test bench along with sensors for dyno testing Perform documentation of build process, with high attention to detail Provide key feedback for improvements to equipment, tooling and process Maintain a clean and organized work area Ensure complete documentation of build pedigree according to BOM Qualifications Proficiency in Mechanical and Electrical build assembly. Skills include operating drills, tools, soldering, harness building, oscilloscope, hipot tester, CNC mill Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical & electrical issues Knowledge of dyno test equipment and calibration techniques Excellent documentation and engineering communication skills Certificate/Diploma + few years of experience in Proto shops/R D line is required. Bonus Past experience with Motors and Dyno What you'll bring: Humble and collaborative mindset Knowledge and discipline of safe work practices Track record of building a quality, tight tolerance product Excellent engineering communication skills Strong aptitude of using standard tools and equipment such as wrenches and calipers Ability to interpret CAD drawings and compare with quality check measurements Able to maintain impeccable documentation records Can do attitude
