1) word copy of resume 2) 2-3 professional references 3) 4-5 brief bullet points highlighting technical qualifications Job Description Join a dynamic team as an Engineering Electronic Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in assembling prototype and production PC Boards for Space applications and Defense programs. This position involves hands-on assembly, soldering, and collaboration with engineering teams to bring cutting-edge space and defense technology to life. Responsibilities Assemble prototype and production PC Boards following engineering team's developments and sketches/drawings. Perform soldering tasks including through-hole and surface mount techniques. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings. Conduct repair and rework of electronic components under J-Std guidelines. Document build, troubleshoot, test, and reassemble processes in accordance with Space requirements. Collaborate in R D lab settings to ensure high-quality standards are met. Essential Skills Proficiency in soldering and prototype assembly. Ability to interpret assembly and engineering drawings and schematics. Current J-Std or IPC certifications, with specific focus on NASA Space flight Hardware. 3+ years of experience with assembly in space, defense, or aerospace products or components. 5+ years of experience in soldering, through-hole and surface mount techniques, and PC board assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Current J-STD certification is a must-have;
IPC 610, 620
certifications are a bonus. Experience in building, troubleshooting, and reassembling electronic components. Understanding of space and defense specifications, with NASA Space addendum knowledge being advantageous. Work Environment Work in a smaller shop with a collaborative team environment. This product-oriented space-technology firm operates in commercial, space, and defense markets, providing rugged aerospace-grade data-acquisition and control systems for use onboard rockets, spacecraft, aircraft, and other remote platforms in extreme environments. Rover programs, and Navy Defense projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
