Onsite Position Summary:
Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of mechanical or electromechanical materials, devices, assemblies, subassemblies, systems. and products. The technician would be responsible for maintaining an electronic development lab.
Background & Context:
This role will include: ensuring equipment stays within calibration, troubleshoot diagnose and repair development boards, hand solder down to 0402 (preferably smaller), ability to operate standard EE lab bench equipment (Oscilloscope, power supply, DMM, function generator) and follow test plans to gather data and verify boards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electrical and electro-mechanical areas.
  • Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.
  • Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems or products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair (solder, deadbug, cut / jump wiring) development boards
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions including following verification plans for development boards and CRM development products
  • Performs tests, analyzes data and contributes to written reports. Tests will include standard EE bench top tools: Power supply, DMM, Oscilloscope, function generator
  • Reviews or develops processing or prototype manufacturing instructions focused on development board setup, initialization and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis.
  • May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations, development board setup and test setup troubleshooting.
  • (Planning/Organization) Actively participates in comprehensive development of plans including an outline of duties and project assignments.
  • Demonstrates independence by prioritizing and completing assignments.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Associates Degree - electronics based preferred with 1-2 years of work exp. but HS diploma with work experience of 4-5 years will also be considered.
  • Med device nice to have but not required.
  • Factory, lab bench, exp.
is required.
