Job Description

Position Summary:
  • Please note;
NACE/AMPP CP2
certification is a requirement to fill this position. If you do not posses certification your application/resume will not be considered for this position.
  • The CP 2
  • Cathodic Protection Technician is a mid-level field position responsible for independently executing advanced cathodic protection testing, troubleshooting, and installations.
This role supports the integrity of pipelines and infrastructure through diagnostic surveys, system maintenance, and mentoring of CP 1 staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced surveys: interference testing, current requirement testing, and system diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot and repair impressed current systems, rectifiers, anode beds, and CP wiring
  • Install and commission new CP systems or modifications in the field
  • Collect, analyze, and document field data for reporting to clients and engineers
  • Mentor and assist CP 1 technicians in developing field skills
  • Maintain equipment and ensure field safety compliance
  • Interface with clients as needed to communicate findings and recommendations
Minimum Requirements:
    NACE/AMPP CP
    Level 2 certification (required)
    • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in cathodic protection
    • Strong understanding of CP systems, electrical troubleshooting, and corrosion principles
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and field schematics
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills
