Job Description

Job Title:
Engineering Technician - 1st Shift -
Albion IN Job Summary:
The Engineering Technician is responsible for providing support with day-to-day manufacturing issues, waste reduction initiatives and new product launches in a CNC machining facility.
Responsibility:
Provide technical support for production floor. Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues. Support Tool Setters in dialing in machines after changes, as required Complete tool life studies, sample product, and tooling, as required. Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts. Support new tooling trials and improve existing tooling for machining processes. Monitor shop floor practices. Aid in cell installation. Assist Manufacturing Engineers as needed. Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by Management. Travel to other plants required. Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNC machining environment Previous experience and proficiency in CNC machine operations, tool setting and making CNC tool height adjustments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Blueprint reading skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Act with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
