(KSS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support facility operations, maintenance activities, and small- to medium-sized facility improvement projects. This position combines hands-on technical work with project planning, estimating, troubleshooting, and coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or building systems and possess the ability to independently perform inspections, testing, maintenance support, and project-related activities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct inspections, collect field data, and prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Develop material takeoffs and labor estimates for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating small- to medium-sized facility projects.
  • Obtain vendor pricing and support procurement activities.
  • Track project progress and maintain project documentation.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Coordinate with facility personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, military technical training, or related education preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in facility maintenance, engineering support, construction, industrial operations, or related technical fields.
  • Experience with building systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, HVAC systems, or construction projects preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience preparing project estimates, scopes of work, or material takeoffs is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access mechanical spaces, and perform physical maintenance activities.

Schedule:
