Mon-Fri 5:30am-3:30pm
Pay Rate :
$25.25 an hour Job description: A growing manufacturing facility in Dowagiac, MI is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with expertise in robot programming, PLC troubleshooting, machine recipe management, Ignition programming, and AGV system troubleshooting. The Engineering Technician will report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a key role in supporting production and maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Support and uphold the company's mission and core principles Complete work orders and assist production as needed Maintain and troubleshoot equipment relevant to assigned responsibilities Provide technical support and training to team members Ensure consistent product quality with minimal waste Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Required Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Willingness to work overtime as needed, sometimes without notice Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Solid understanding of basic engineering concepts Proficiency in basic computer use and mathematics Ability to wear a ½ mask respirator or PAPR when necessary Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safe work practices and company standards Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of experience in PLC required Fanuc robot programming preferred but no required Experience with paint robots preferred 1+ year using Lean Manufacturing tools Knowledge of safe electrical practices Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing or sitting Ability to stoop, kneel, or maintain various physical positions as required Exposure to high noise levels and hazardous materials
Schedule & Training Standard Shift:
Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 3:30
PM Saturdays:
As needed for projects
Training:
