Engineering Technician II (Entry-Level Role)

Holtsville, NY 11742 (Fully Onsite)
Duration:
11 Months Pay range: $26hr-$28hr Job Summary The Engineering Technician II will support hardware validation and testing activities for systems and components. This role involves operating test equipment, troubleshooting hardware issues, maintaining lab equipment and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure product quality and performance. Key Responsibilities Perform hardware validation testing of systems and components. Operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers, vibration shakers, and power supplies. Troubleshoot hardware and test-related issues. Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality compliance activities. interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams on testing deliverables and product validation efforts. Maintain accurate test documentation and equipment status records. Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and for testing activities. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in a technical field OR GED with 3-5 years of relevant technical experience. Experience performing hardware testing and validation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering laboratory environment.
