Technical Project Manager (TPM) - BMS Hardware Test ???? ???? Berkeley, CA (94702) ???? Up to $75.18/hr. DOE ???? Contract Opportunity Are you a Technical Project Manager with experience leading complex hardware testing and certification programs? Do you thrive at the intersection of hardware engineering, compliance, and cross-functional project execution? If so, we want to hear from you! Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM), BMS Hardware Test to lead critical UL 991 compliance testing efforts for advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS). This high-impact role will partner with hardware, software, test, and regulatory teams to drive testing programs from planning through certification. ????

What You'll Be Doing:

? Own and manage the master schedule for BMS hardware testing and UL 991 certification activities ? Coordinate efforts across Hardware Design, Embedded Software, Test Engineering, and third-party certification agencies ? Drive test readiness and remove roadblocks to keep critical timelines on track ? Manage the build-out of specialized test beds, instrumentation, and environmental test infrastructure ? Oversee vendor, fabricator, and internal resource scheduling to support testing milestones ? Track test failures, root cause investigations, and corrective actions ? Provide leadership with risk assessments, progress updates, and certification status reporting ????

What We're Looking For:

?? 5+ years of experience as a TPM, Project Manager, Engineering Program Manager, or Lead Test Engineer ?? Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Storage, EV, Automotive, Aerospace, or Medical Devices ?? Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing ?? Experience with safety-critical standards such as

UL 991, UL 1998, IEC

61508, or

ISO 26262

?? Proven success managing engineering labs, test infrastructure, fixtures, or certification programs ?? Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar scheduling tools ?
