Technology Project Engineer / Technical Project Manager About Infinite Networks Infinite Networks is a global technology infrastructure company specializing in data centers, structured cabling, AI infrastructure, networking, audiovisual systems, wireless technologies, and professional services. We support some of the world's most demanding customers with design-build, deployment, commissioning, and ongoing support services across multiple industries and geographic regions. We are seeking experienced Technology Project Engineers and Technical Project Managers who are passionate about technology, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges. Position Summary This role combines project management, technical consulting, solution development, and project execution. Successful candidates will work closely with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop solutions, support project delivery, and ensure successful outcomes from opportunity development through project closeout. This is both a pre-sales and post-sales role. Candidates should be comfortable participating in customer meetings, developing scopes of work, creating estimates, coordinating resources, and supporting field operations. The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously across various technologies and time zones. We offer a highly entrepreneurial compensation structure that may include salary or hourly compensation, commission opportunities, profit sharing, and performance-based incentives. Core Responsibilities Project Management & Customer Engagement Review customer requirements and develop technical solutions Participate in customer meetings, discovery sessions, and site surveys Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies Manage project execution from initiation through closeout Coordinate internal resources, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors Provide regular project updates and maintain customer communications Support global projects across multiple regions and time zones Solution Development & Engineering Develop Scopes of Work (SOW) Develop Levels of Effort (LOE) Develop Bills of Material (BOM) Perform technical research and solution design Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and technology partners Conduct site assessments and document project requirements Create project documentation, as-builts, and closeout packages Technical Leadership Experience across all technologies is not required. Candidates should possess strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber) Data Center Infrastructure AI Infrastructure and High-Performance Computing Environments Network Infrastructure Wireless Systems Audiovisual Systems Security, Surveillance, and Access Control Systems Power Distribution and UPS Systems Industrial IoT / IoE Technologies Smart Building Technologies Technology Relocations, Migrations, and Deployments Desired Qualifications Experience managing technology infrastructure projects Strong customer-facing communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience developing technical documentation and project deliverables Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Self-directed and capable of working independently Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude Preferred Technical Experience Structured cabling installation, testing, and troubleshooting Fiber optic installation, splicing, and certification Data center deployments and rack integration Network hardware installation and commissioning Reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and specifications Experience with industry standards such as BICSI, TIA, ANSI, IEEE, and NEC Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools Certifications (Preferred but Not Required) BICSI Technician, Installer, or RCDD PMP or CAPM CTS or CTS-D Manufacturer Certifications Data Center Certifications Fiber Optic Certifications OSHA Safety Training Career Growth This position offers a unique opportunity to work on some of the most advanced technology infrastructure projects in the world while developing expertise across multiple disciplines.
